UR Health offers personalized adult health services for uninsured individuals, including testing for health markers like cholesterol levels and blood glucose management. As a low-cost clinic, UR Health operates on a nurse-driven model, providing evidence-based, cost-conscious treatment. We provide affordable primary care and other adult health services for your ongoing medical needs!

Wellness & Preventive Care

Preventive Health Screening

Our clinic offers affordable screening tests to identify potential health issues early and implement necessary lifestyle modifications. Conditions that we screen for include:

  • Diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol and lipid problems
  • Overweight and obesity


The following subjects will be reviewed:

  • Medical history  
  • Health related behaviors
  • Blood pressure, heart rate, height, weight and body mass index (BMI)
  • Health markers (i.e., fasting blood sugar level, A1C level, cholesterol and lipid levels, urinalysis)


Fasting, except water, is encouraged for 8 to 10 hours prior to health screening.

Temporary Medication Refill
Moving, traveling, relocating, or changing providers can complicate everyday life. UR Health provides one-time medication renewals for your daily prescription needs. You may refill a 30-day prescription up to twice a year and a 90-day prescription up to once a year with our one-time medication renewal service. Common medications that are acceptable for our renewal service include:

  • Birth control
  • Blood pressure medications
  • Cholesterol-lowering drugs
  • Diabetes medications
  • Respiratory inhalers


UR Health is not authorized to renew prescriptions for:

  • A daily medication that was last used 45 days or more before your visit.
  • A prescription from a provider whom you’ve not seen for the past 12 months.
  • A prescription with remaining refills.
  • Controlled substances 
  • Some migraine or other episodic condition medication


Proof of prescription is required!

"A Service For Minor Adult Health Concerns"

Illness & Injury Visit

The nurse practitioner will address a specific health issue or injury, rather than a routine check-up. Be medically evaluated for non-emergent symptoms where the goal is to diagnose and treat the problem.


Receive Care for Common Conditions like:

  • Minor cuts/lacerations
  • Cough, cold, sinuses
  • Skin and nail issues
  • Urinary discomfort
  • Ear wax removal
  • Tooth infection
  • Cold sores
  • Pink eye
  • Nausea

Excuse Note

Are you out of work or school for an illness or injury? Schedule a visit with our nurse practitioner for a basic evaluation of your condition and obtain documentation to be medically excused. If testing or a more thorough examination is needed for your medical clearance, then additional fees could incur which will be communicated to you during your visit. Our provider may not be able to provide a medical explanation for individuals who have missed work or school for more than three days without seeking prior medical attention!

Virtual Sick Visits: Online Provider & Prescriptions
UR Health offers virtual sick visits for nonemergency conditions, allowing clients to consult with health practitioners online, receive a diagnosis, and get prescriptions sent to their preferred pharmacy while they rest and recover at home. Virtual sick visits are self-pay services and available only for adults 18 years of age or older. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are recommended to see an in-person provider for their care. This type of visit's appropriateness is at the discretion of the healthcare provider, who will consider the client's presenting symptoms and the results of the assessment.


Prescriptions are available only for pharmacies in Florida!

What Conditions Can We Help With?

Cough, Cold, & Sinus

  • Acceptable for symptoms consistent with sinusitis, such as runny nose, stuffy nose or congestion.
  • Inappropriate for individuals with multiple sinus infections, ongoing symptoms for over a month, recent antibiotic treatment, unrelated breathing difficulties, neck pain, vision changes, or fever over 101°F.
  • Treatment: prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, home remedies, antibiotics for sinus infections, cough suppressants, and more.

Influenza

  • Upload a photo of a positive flu test result, or you were in contact with someone who was diagnosed with flu and you are at high risk for complications from flu.
  • Acceptable if you have had flu-like symptoms for less than 48 hours.
  • Inappropriate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Treatment: antivirals (i.e., Oseltamivir) and supportive care.

COVID-19

  • Upload a photo of a positive COVID test result from within 5 days of first symptom or you were in contact with someone who was diagnosed with COVID.
  • Acceptable for individuals who are within 5 days of your first symptoms.
  • Inappropriate for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals; fever >103 F, chest tightness, difficulty urinating, or problems eating or drinking; history of hepatitis, cirrhosis, elevated liver enzymes, or severe renal impairment.
  • Treatment: antivirals (i.e., Paxlovid) and supportive care

Conjunctivitis or "Pink Eye

  • Acceptable for symptoms consistent with pink eye, such as redness, itchiness and crusting of the eye.
  • Upload a photo of both eyes.
  • Inappropriate if you have a recent history of trauma to the eye, eye surgery, blurred, impaired, or changes in vision, sensitivity to light, flashing lights or floaters, headache with nausea, inability to open eye or keep it open.
  • Treatment: Antibiotic eye drops, such as Erythromycin, trimethoprim-polymyxin B and ofloxacin

Cold Sores

  • Acceptable for current oral cold sore outbreak.
  • Upload a photo of your outbreak.
  • Inappropriate if you have had 3 or more cold sore outbreaks within the last year; Your last outbreak was within the past 2 weeks. 
  • Treatment: Valacyclovir, Acyclovir, Famiclovir

Stomach Virus

  • Acceptable for gastrointestinal symptoms that have been present less than 48 hours.
  • Inappropriate for persistent vomiting and  diarrhea that have been occurring for 3 days or more which can lead to dehydration. Vomiting blood or coffee ground emesis. Blood in stool or black tarry stools.
  • Treatment: Antidiarrheals or antiemetics and supportive care.

After we receive your information, our nursing team will promptly initiate the next steps to get your visit going.
